Week 05 Reflection Journal
This week I learn so many insights from the videos and readings, however, I will share from the lessons that resonate me from the Hero's Journey and perseverance by James E. Faust.
Lessons learn't from the Hero's Journey
Lessons learn't from the Hero's Journey
- We should believe that we have a very special mission on this earth. A mission that will succeed beyond our wildest dreams, but only if we have the faith and courage to find that entrepreneurial calling.
- choosing a hero’s journey means to live every moment of our lives like it matters, because it does. It means to live as if we have an important mission, because we do. It means seeing struggles as adventures, and setbacks as lessons.
- if we choose the hero’s journey, we will give up measuring ourselves against others. If we are on a fool’s errand, there’s always someone who is smarter, or richer, or better looking. We will always be dissatisfied and unfulfilled in looking for another rat race to run.
Lessons learn't from President James E. Faust:
"Perseverance is demonstrated by those who keep going when the going gets tough, who don't give up even when others say, it can't be done."
He also share some pointers that can bring us opportunities and blessings:
- We must learn how to organize and use our time wisely
- We must work (reap what we sow)
- We must learn leadership skills
- We must learn people skills
- We must learn the value of studying the gospel
- We must have respect for authority
- We must learn the importance of prayer
- We must learn humility and dependence on the Lord
